This is a Christian inspirational site. Bethelstone suggests a touchstone where believers can find inspiration and engage meaningfully to help all of us make better sense of our common faith

About me

This Blogsite is a Christian website dedicated to:
  • Inspiration relating mainly to personal crisis
  • Sharing with fellow believers
  • Sharing with fellow writers
About me:

Peter Missing, Writer of Fiction and non-Fiction books. I also have a Bachelor's and Master's degree in business. I have walked with God over 50 years and have loved everything about Jesus since I was a child. He is my first love, my greatest passion.

My faith statement is: I believe ...
  • That Jesus is the only name whereby we might be saved.
  • That the Holy Spirit will take the things of Jesus and lead us into them.
  • In the priesthood of all believers.
  • That the church is Christ's bride and the vehicle He chose to reveal His wisdom to the world.
  • That science and theology are not enemies and that scientific observations of life are consistent with the scriptures.
  • That the world is old and took eons to make, for God abides by His own laws.
  • I follow Jesus in rejecting Sadduccean literalism and Pharisaic expedience, because Jesus came by Grace and Truth.
  • I believe in heaven and hell and a future judgment.

My books are:

  • Dead Reckoning - 400 pages, non-fiction - a book on the patterns of crisis from a biblical point of view, offering ways to normalize our own crises and regain direction in our lives.
  • ‘Broken lives’ is novel about a young man growing up in early 20th century Israel and the pains of his long odyssey to maturity.
  • ‘Upon this rock’, second in a trilogy, tells the story of three young men whose lives trace from the battlefields of Europe to the verdant hills of England.
  • Common Ground’, loosely based on Ephesians, tells the story of the granddaughter of one of the above, whose search for personal answers leads to all kinds of drama.
  • I will not turn back’, takes the heroine from Common Ground, on an archeological quest, which gradually unearths the mysteries of a great bible story.
  • Men of men’ is a very honest take on how James grew up alongside his famous brother and how that, in turn, led Paul and James down a shared road.
  • ‘The dream’ uses a literary vehicle, a kind of tour guide, to comment on a dream that presents an angel’s photo-negative perspective of human history.
  • ‘Koinos Edaphos” is a non-fiction work, based on my Master’s Thesis, about surviving the coming troubles of our world by standing together.
