Bob Dylan once asked, "How many roads must a man walk down before you can call him a man?"
The experiences of biblical characters reflect many setbacks and dissapointments, roads that led to frustration and pain on the way to a future appointment with God.
The truth is that a real call comes to us at the inception of our walk with God, but its a call of faith in a potential yet to realised. Faith is the substance of what we hope for. The journey from there to fulfilment prepares us to live up to that which God called us to in the first place. The experiences along the way, apply God's rod and staff to tutor us for our regal role within His household ... so walk down those roads: if you get lost, He will find you and one day you will find the road that will lead you to spiritual maturity.
