The night sky is filled with rays shining from powerful lights, beacons that are drawing kings, queens, statesmen, leaders and crazed fans from all over the globe.
Airports have had to double and triple park private aircraft, the military have had to maintain a constant vigil over the airspace above the stadium, Andrea Bocelli is preparing for his time to say goodbye, performers are warming up and the two teams who will meet in this date of destiny are dreaming of what could be.
This is a massive occasion. Over 2 billion people across the planet will watch as the two finalists go head to head in the final match of the biggest sporting event on the planet.
Tomorrow night almost 100,000 fans dressed in orange or yellow and blue, will crowd into the Soccer City stadium, raise the roof, blow their trumpets, sing their songs and cheer or weep as their teams fight it out for the greatest prize, the FIFA world cup. This is it. There is no turning back. Monday will be another day in paradise, life will go on and we will all return to our respective priorities - but Sunday night is a night that will bring so many together in a date with destiny.
