Taking the kingdom - part 5 - The women with issue

A 12 year hemorrhage left a woman emaciated and broken, especially as it also made her “unclean” and, as such, untouchable.

Like Ruth, who was also at "the fringe", her salvation stood before her and she dared not let it pass.

She put her life on the line and uncovered the feet of Jesus, by exploiting a legal nuance to touch what touched him: the hem of his garment.

He immediately felt virtue flow from him and asked who touched him, but on realizing who it was he reacted as Boaz once did.

He redeemed her, metaphorically covered her and honored her faith.

Religion or ignorance keeps him at an unreachable distance or presumes to be untouchable to God, but that is not the faith that God admires.

Faith is spiritual chutzpah. It knows what is possible and right in the eyes of God, regardless of what others say, and it takes its chances.

So, go and uncover his feet. He may not always be available, but he is now.
