The Zebra is a marvel

The Zebra is a marvel. It is a defiant gesture by God against speculative theories, like evolution. Why go to so much trouble for a specific species, when evolution, at best, only demands that it be functional rather than cosmetic.

The Zebra was born out of a capricious moment of creation - when He made something so outlandishly different to anything else.

For all its visibility the Zebra is also a master of camouflage. It is a metaphor for the church, an even greater contradiction to life - she too is visible and transparent, unlike secret societies with all their contrived gobbledegook.

However, the church is also under
stated and able to blend into the background, because she is organic and so down-to-earth, a practical answer to our human needs. But she has a mighty kick that the roaring lion ignores at its peril.
