Birthing wind series 1: don't sweat the small stuff

Isaiah 26:19 speaks of a windy birth. It means a phantom pregnancy, where the poor mom toils and heaves, to produce vapor.
Men can do sympathetic labor, hopefully to just produce wind, but she would add that its more natural for him, that he is a "regular breath of fresh air”.
We can all labor to vapor, by sweating small stuff and forgetting big stuff.
Church music groups agonize over refinements that rarely matter and then still miss the point that it wasn’t about entertainment at all.
Leaders agonize over “spiritual foreplay” and long preambles when the people “just want to get on with it” without detailed instructions.
That reminds me of an article about what women wish men knew. It said that, aside from a good warm-up, too much foreplay takes her off the boil.
Oh I could go on. Today I reflected on racism and asked if God also agonizes over it, when Paul just said, “Try hard to get on with each other”.
It is all much ado about nothing. Calvin upset Suzie. Hobbes suggested he apologize. Calvin replied, “I was hoping for a less obvious solution”.
That says it all.
